About me/ My
Quest
I am a man
with unconventional field of interests. I enjoy reading, writing, studying and
exploring anything that caught me. I am also a gamer, but only if the game
offered a huge dose of things to explore. Because of this, I always do not have
enough time.
Once, I developed
a sudden interest in certain things and I spend my entire weekend researching
and studying it. As usual, before I could finish my studies, Sunday had ended.
Sadly, I had to put my interest aside to prepare the zombie routines of working
life on Monday again. A friend once commented that I am living like a reclusive hermit in a world filled with books and scrolls. LOL. I think he is right.
Given the choice, I want to read and study forever.
This is the
motivation that push me to pursue financial independence to obtain the freedom
to pursue my interest.
In 1996, I
had my First Awakening to recognise what I want for my life. I realized I do not want to lock myself within the rat-race working forever. It took a total of 21
years of explorations and works to reach that target in 2017.
I had started badly, there was no clear direction and no like-minded people around me. There had been numerous moments of doubt and disillusion, many sacrifices and losses. While others choose to live a colourful life filled with vigour and energy. I spend most of my time searching and exploring hoping to find the answers to my questions about the state of my life.

After numerous falls and failures, I found one path that
finally worked for me in year 2008. Keeping in pace with that path, I managed to attain the status of financial security by year 2016 and my
second milestones in 2017 achieving my first level of financial independence.
I am just an average worker who started as a Technician before switching to a desk bond job in my 30s. I do not gamble on luck, for i do not have those, I had plotted out my path and stick to it, maintain a prudent lifestyle to reach it. adjusting when needed, setting goals and targets building up the war machines that would fueled my quest for freedom.
It has been
a long journey indeed.
Hopefully, through
the sharing of my journey and exploration, it would help anyone who is still
searching for an answer.
