This monthly report excludes any salaried income. The purpose of this financial review is to assess the sustainability of my financial independence, focusing solely on the total amount of passive income received. As of 2024 September 1st, I have officially activated my FIRE journey, meaning I am no longer receiving a salary from a traditional job.
So, the month of May is over. It’s been a busy one for me, as I’ve been working on a number of literary projects. I finally started picking up all the works I had previously set aside. One major highlight: I managed to conclude an 18-year project with a government agency — a platform where my works will be showcased online as recognition of my efforts in documenting contemporary Singapore.
It’s also been 9 months since I activated FIRE. One of the first things my friends asked was, “Why aren’t you getting fat?” LOL. It’s the genes! I just don’t gain weight. Plus, I don’t just sit at home all day — I’ve been staying very active!
May turned out to be a fat month for dividend income, totaling $6,277.68. With additional sources included, the total income came to $8,884.55.
The portfolio remains unchanged — no rush to make any moves. :)
